Are you kidding me? Shining some light on me is going to help my joint pain and reduce inflammation? Really?
Let’s get straight to the point. Yes, LLLT (low level light therapy) has been scientifically proven to be extremely effective in cases of chronic joint pain. The key is not just any light therapy, the light therapy has to be extremely specific and in very precise wavelengths.
How do lights help reduce inflammation? In studies published by the National Institutes of Health and The Journal of Orthopedics and Rheumatology it was shown that LLLT, or Photobiomodulation (PBM), has very positive effect on inflamed and painful joints. It was explained that specialized light triggers biochemical changes within cells and can be compared to the process of photosynthesis in plants. The photons from the light are absorbed by cellular photoreceptors and triggers positive and healing chemical changes.
To have these positive healing effects the lights have to be in a very specific wavelength spectrum called ‘near infrared’. These wavelengths have the ability to penetrate skin and soft tissues and are proven in clinical trials to have a positive effect on pain, inflammation and tissue repair. The result is a reduction of inflammation, pain relief and accelerated tissue regeneration.
Our office has the only LLLT device of its kind in the state of Idaho. This device is up to 100 times more powerful than any other LLLT in reducing pain and inflammation in joints. This means faster results in less time and shorter therapy sessions. So sore shoulders, aching knees and ankles and inflamed wrists get better, faster.
Dr. Sterling introduced the Contour Light technology in our office just a few months ago. We have already seen phenomenal changes in many clients ranging in age from their twenties to their eighties. The light is safe for all ages and all conditions.
We encourage anyone suffering with painful joints or inflammation to give us a call. Results are seen in a very short time and the relaxing sessions are just 30 minutes in duration.
